10-day CPO Instructor Course Germany (11th -20th January 2010)
Thank you very much. But we are that must be grateful. The course was magnificent. 10 long days of training, but every second was very well spent. Congratulations on planning, development of themes, the effort to adapt the contents to the Portuguese reality, congratulations for everything. In particular congratulations to Mr. Dirk and Mr. Frank for being a people of vast knowledge, always willing to help, to pass on their experience, their knowledge. I never participated in a training that knowledge are transmitted so openly . I advise all those who want to really be teachers of CPO's to participat in this training. Congratulations and thank you.

The CD-Meeting Wetzlar was very interesting not only that we brainstormed a lot but also we saw some awesome PowerPoint Presentations. On Saturday Birger Karlsen showed his PowerPoint Presentations and ended his part with the Documentary “Badges without Borders” (by Discovery Channel). This documentary went about the American Diplomatic Security all over the world. It gave us a very good impression how dangerous our job can be.
The two video’s in the PowerPoint Presentation about “How to deal with Paparazzi” by Jerome Jacobs, were good examples of how Paparazzi can easily provoke us.
On Sunday we went to German Championship Paintball. What these Paintballers can do with the Paintball game is unbelievable. They shoot easily and they have a very good condition, the organiser showed us around and gave some interesting comments.
After that we went to a former Military Shooting range to do a shooting exercise. Mr. Liebich was our instructor and advisor, he gave everybody who did the shooting exercise some tips of to do or not to do.
Overall it was an instructive CD-Meeting with awesome presentations and a shooting exercise. Thanks to the participants, the presenters, the instructors and especially to Dirk.
Till the next CD-Meeting and stay safe!

10-day CPO Instructor Course in Germany
I flew over from Canada to attend the Instructor Course in Germany and am very satisified with it. I had the oppurunity to meet alot of great people as well as learn quite a bit. The organizers of the course put in a lot of effort and the top instructor Dirk, was very proffessional and well informed on the subjects he taught. Andrew, another instructor for hand to hand combat, was very knowledgeable in his field.
Overall the course was great.

PR-24 / Baton Course
The Tonfa course held by the ICPTA, with the cooperation of Polas was one of the best courses that I have attended. I have been to courses sponsored by other companie that were done nicely. Don't misunderstand me, I learned a lot. During the course conducted by the ICPTA, I was able to hone the skills already learned and learn a few new tips and tricks. Mr. Jaehnkes skills are top notch and he brings many years of experience with him. He is able to conduct the training in an atmosphere that is unrivalled. The training is conducted with the seriousness that should be conducted with any weapons training and he is able to keep in touch with each person through his wittiness and level of knowledge. Mr. Jaehnke encourages his students to ask questions and then takes the time to explain each question asked, "why", "why not", "what if" etc. He is not just satisfied with telling you why or why not, he illustrates the do's and don'ts. He has found a wonderful way to reach each learning type of student, the acoustical student, the optical student and the hands on student. I must say I was most impressed, and would recommend this course to anyone who wishes to carry a Tonfa during duty. Mr. Jaehnke has many different levels of training for the Tonfa. This was not a walk in the park type of course, however a learning experience of great calibre. Thank you Mr. Jaehnke and Polas for an absolute learning experience!

ISD Instructor Course & Filipino Kali Arnis Course Germany
From the 5th until 8th November 2009 The ICPTA Combatives organized different self defense seminars. The seminars were as followed:
• Filipino Kali Arnis Instructor Course,
• Filipino Kali Arnis Seminar,
• Edge Weapon / Knife Seminar,
• ISD H2H Combat Instructor Course,
• Muay Thai Seminar,
• Seminar and Espada y Daga,
• And at the end a Banquett.
All self-defense courses and seminars were given by Master Dirk Jähnke and Grand Master Taningco. Master Dirk Jähnke is a protégé of Grand Master Taningco.
Grand Master Taningco is a respected person in the World Self Defense. To get an impression please use the following link: http://www.tamamartialarts.com/sifu.php.
For Dirk Jähnke use the following link: http://www.kampfkunst-wetzlar.de/index.p...=65〈=de.
I have followed the:
• Filipino Kali Arnis Seminar,
• Edge Weapon / Knife Seminar,
• ISD H2H Combat Instructor Course and
• Muay Thai Seminar.
I also had the pleasure get private lessons from Grandmaster Taningco. The Grand Master is a man of few but clear words and therefore he trigged me for more. He also teaches the philosophy behind the self-defense form and he does that with the same passion as with his self-defense classes! The Grand Master teached me a beautiful lesson of life.
Master Dirk Jähnke had organized everything into perfection.
Again many thanks to Master Dirk Jähnke and Grand Master Taningco!
In May 2010 there is a new seminar scheduled and I am definitely there.
All students/instructors who are graduated by Grand Master Taningco congratulate!
